What are your hours of operation?
We are available daily (including weekends!) from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm to answer questions or book services. If you contact us outside of business hours, please leave a voicemail and/or text (804) 432-6774. We will respond to you within 24 hours. Can I trust Stress Less Home Cleaning to get the job done?
Absolutely! Whether you’re looking for a one-time deep clean of your home, or regular recurring services, we will tailor our schedule and approach to best serve you. We are a local small business who wants to support the local community, and trust is everything. Our staff is fully background checked and vigorously pre-screened and trained prior to providing service to our customers.
What areas do you serve?
We proudly serve the greater Richmond area. If you’re looking for service in other locations (Virginia only,) please contact us to discuss as we may be able to accommodate!
Do I need to be home while the service takes place? How will you gain access to my home?
While most cleanings occur while the resident is not home, it makes no difference to us. We will still get the job done! We ask that if we are not let inside upon arrival, that a key and / or alarm code be provided so we may access while you are away. Keys stored with Stress Less Home Cleaning are assigned a numeric identifier (with no name and associated address) and safely locked away until the day of your service appointment.
Can I have pets in the home while cleaning takes place?
Of course! We love animals. However, if your pet is aggressive in any way, we simply ask that they are placed safely in a crate, kennel or fenced area during your cleaning service.
How often can you provide services?
We can provide weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly service. No contract, no obligations. If you want to set up an alternate frequency of service, we can handle that too. We also offer on-demand cleaning services for offices, special events, new home cleanings, as well as move-in and move-out cleaning services. Since our focus is to make your home (or place of business) a more peaceful place and to maximize your time, we also offer services to set up your desired seasonal decorations or for any special events you may be hosting. We call this our “Theme” Cleanings!
Do you use any harsh chemicals?
Never! Our cleaning solutions and equipment are safe for you, your family and pets. The majority of cleaning items used are plant based and non-toxic.
Do I need to do anything to prepare for a cleaning?
We recommend the following steps to help us provide exceptional cleaning service:

Neatly arranging all areas before we serve you is strongly recommended so we can focus more of our time to cleaning as opposed to picking up miscellaneous debris or items from areas on floors and countertops. This will also prevents us from putting things in the wrong location causing you any inconveniences.
Hang pictures appropriately to ensure no scratching of the wall or damage occurs when dusting occurs during service.
It is a best practice to have felt padding on the feet of furniture that is placed on hardwood or LVT floors to avoid scratching the floor when we move the furniture to clean.
Check and repair loose or broken items around the home. Although our company is fully insured for liabilities, we don’t want you or our team getting hurt!
Do I need to provide special instructions to the cleaning team?
We always say overcommunicating is better than under communicating. Providing us instructions will amplify the cleaning experience you receive. We will ensure your special instructions are kept in your customer profile for future reference regardless which technician is sent to provide service to your home. On the note of which individual will be providing you the cleaning service, our goal is to maintain consistency because we know our customers value a familiar face, however there may be a need from time to time to send a different technician to your regular service appointment to accommodate their time off or for family/personal needs.
What do you NOT clean?
Stress Less Home Cleaning does not:
Provide dish cleaning
Provide laundry cleaning
Pick up or remove excessive clutter or trash and debris
Clean fireplaces or chimneys
Move or handle heavy furnishings
Clean TVs or other electronic screens
Handle (in any way) biohazardous materials including but not limited to: human waste, animal waste, and medical waste
Wash or paint walls
Steam clean upholstered furnishings, curtains, drapes, or carpets/rugs.
